Rifampin eliminates bacteria that cause tuberculosis (TB). It is generally used with other drugs to treat tuberculosis or to eliminate Neisseria meningitidis (a bacteria) and to prevent you from giving these infections to others. However, rifampin is not used to treat Neisseria meningitidis infection.Rifampin comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It usually is taken once a day. You will probably be taking it for at least 3 months and possibly for up to 2 years. Rifampin works best on an empty stomach; take it 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after a meal. If you have difficulty swallowing the capsule, you may empty its contents into applesauce or jelly. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take rifampin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Beclazone is used to help prevent asthma. Beclazone contains a medicine called beclometasone dipropionate, which belongs to a family of medicines called corticosteroids. Inhaled corticosteroids are not the same as anabolic steroids which some athletes and body-builder use. Your Beclazone Inhaler delivers very small amounts of inhaled corticosteroid straight to your lungs, where it works by reducing inflammation (swelling and irritation) in the small airways. This helps you to breathe easier and helps to prevent asthma attacks. This kind of medicine is known as a 'Preventer'. It must be used everyday as directed by your doctor even if you have no asthma symptoms.Beclazone may take a few days to start to work. Do not stop using your inhaler unless a doctor tells you to. Beclazone does not give immediate relief from an asthma attack. Do not use Beclazone to relieve wheezing or breathlessness - you may have been given a different kind of inhaler medicine, called a 'Reliever', for that. Your doctor may have told you to use a Reliever inhaler in addition to your Beclazone Inhaler. There is no evidence that Beclazone Inhaler is addictive. How to use Beclomethasone Dipropionate InhlFirst read the manufacturers instruction leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using beclomethasone and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. This medication is inhaled into the lungs using a special inhaler device. Using this inhaler device with a spacer makes it easier to inhale the medication. To use the inhaler, shake the canister for about 10 seconds. Take a drink of water to moisten the throat. Place the inhaler or spacer mouthpiece into your mouth over the tongue. Close your lips tightly around the mouthpiece. Press the inhaler while taking a slow deep breath through your mouth for 5 seconds. Hold your breath for 10 seconds while keeping the inhaler in your mouth so that the drug can be absorbed into the lungs. Remove the inhaler device from your mouth and slowly breathe out.Use this medication twice daily or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. If 2 or more inhalations/puffs for each dose are prescribed, wait at least 1 minute between them.If you are using other inhalers at the same time, use them first. Wait several minutes between the use of those inhalers and beclomethasone. To prevent dry mouth, hoarseness, and fungal infection of the mouth, rinse your mouth with water after each use. Do not swallow the rinse water.Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Follow the dosing schedule carefully. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If you have been taking high doses of this medication for a long time, do not suddenly stop taking it without your doctor's approval. Some conditions may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased to reduce symptoms such as extreme tiredness, weakness, weight loss, or nausea. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these symptoms occur after stopping the medication. Fluorouracil cream and topical solution are used to treat actinic or solar keratoses (scaly or crusted lesions [skin areas] caused by years of too much exposure to sunlight). Fluorouracil cream and topical solution are also used to treat a type of skin cancer called superficial basal cell carcinoma if usual types of treatment cannot be used. Fluorouracil is in a class of medications called antimetabolites. It works by killing fast-growing cells such as the abnormal cells in actinic keratoses and basal cell carcinoma.Fluorouracil comes as a solution and a cream to apply to the skin. It is usually applied to the affected areas twice a day . To help you remember to use fluorouracil , apply it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use fluorouracil exactly as directed. Do not apply more or less of it or apply it more often than prescribed by your doctor. If you are using fluorouracil to treat actinic or solar keratoses, you should continue using it until the lesions start to peel off. This usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks. However, the lesions may not be completely healed until 1 or 2 months after you stop using fluorouracil. If you are using fluorouracil to treat basal cell carcinoma, you should continue using it until the lesions are gone. This usually takes at least 3 to 6 weeks, but may take as long as 10 to 12 weeks.During the first few weeks of treatment, the skin lesions and surrounding areas will feel irritated and look red, swollen, and scaly. This is a sign that fluorouracil is working. Do not stop using fluorouracil unless your doctor has told you to do so.Apply fluorouracil cream with a nonmetal applicator, a glove, or your finger. If you apply fluorouracil cream with your finger, be sure to wash your hands well immediately afterwards. Do not cover the treated areas with a bandage or dressing unless your doctor tells you to.Do not apply fluorouracil cream or topical solution to the eyelids or the eyes, nose, or mouth. Ibandronate is used to prevent and treat certain types of bone loss (osteoporosis). Osteoporosis causes bones to become thinner and break more easily. Your chance of developing osteoporosis increases after menopause, as you age, or if you take corticosteroid medications (e.g., prednisone) for long periods. This medication works by slowing bone loss to help maintain strong bones and reduce the risk of broken bones (fractures). Ibandronate belongs to a class of medications called bisphosphonates. How to use Ibandronate OralRead the Patient Information Leaflet before starting this medication and each time you get a refill because new information may be available. Follow the instructions very closely to maximize the amount of drug absorbed and reduce the risk of injury to your esophagus. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.Take this medication by mouth usually once a day, or as directed by your doctor. Take this medication after getting up for the day, before taking your first food, beverage or other medication. Do not take it at bedtime or while you are still in bed.Take this medication with a full glass (6-8 ounces or 180-240 milliliters) of plain water. Do not take it with any other beverages. Do not chew or suck the tablet or keep it in your mouth to melt. Swallow the tablet whole. Then stay fully upright (sitting, standing or walking) for at least 60 minutes and do not lie down until after your first food of the day. Wait at least 60 minutes after taking ibandronate before you eat or drink anything other than plain water and before taking any other medication by mouth.Medications such as quinapril, certain forms of didanosine (chewable/dispersible buffered tablets or pediatric oral solution), sucralfate, and bismuth subsalicylate may interfere with the absorption of ibandronate. Calcium or iron supplements, vitamins with minerals, and antacids containing calcium, magnesium or aluminum, as well as foods such as dairy products (e.g., milk, yogurt), mineral water, and calcium-enriched juice, may also interfere with absorption. Do not take these products for at least 60 minutes after taking ibandronate.Take this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to take it at the same time each morning.Ibandronate Oral is used to treat the following:Decreased Bone Mass Following Menopause, Post-Menopausal Osteoporosis Prevention This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information: Fluconazole is used for: Treating and preventing certain yeast and fungal infections. Fluconazole is an antifungal antibiotic.Fluconazole is used to treat infections caused by fungus, which can invade any part of the body including the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood.Fluconazole is also used to prevent fungal infection in people with weak immune systems caused by cancer treatment, bone marrow transplant, or diseases such as AIDS.Fluconazole is used to treat fungal infections called candidiasis (also known as thrush or yeast infections). These include vaginal infections, throat infections, and fungal infections elsewhere in the body, such as infections of the urinary tract, peritonitis (inflammation of the lining of the abdomen), and pneumonia. Fluconazole is also prescribed to guard against candidiasis in some people receiving bone marrow transplants, and is used to treat meningitis (brain or spinal cord inflammation) caused by another type of fungus. In addition, Fluconazole is now being prescribed for fungal infections in kidney and liver transplant patients, and fungal infections in patients with AIDS. Budesonide is used to prevent and reduce symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. Controlling breathing problems may decrease lost time from work or school. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It works directly in the lungs to make breathing easier by reducing the irritation and swelling of the airways. This medication must be used regularly to prevent breathing problems (attacks of wheezing/shortness of breath). It does not work immediately and should not be used to relieve an asthma attack. If an attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler as prescribed. Keep track of how often you need to use your quick-relief inhaler and inform your doctor. If your quick-relief inhaler does not seem to work as well, if you need to use more than usual of your quick-relief inhaler for 2 or more days in a row, or if you need to use more than one full canister of your quick-relief inhaler over a 2-month period, seek immediate medical attention.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional. This medication may also be used to treat lung diseases such as bronchitis and emphysema. How to use Budesonide InhlRead the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using budesonide and each time you get a refill. Read the directions provided by the manufacturer on the correct use of this device (including a dose counter if one is available). If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Prepare the inhaler for use by following the instructions in the Patient Information Leaflet. If you are using the US product: follow the instructions for priming the inhaler if you are using it for the first time. There is no need to prime the device again. If you are using the Canadian product: the inhaler does not need to be primed before use. Do not shake this product, and do not use a spacer with it. Hold the device upright while using. If the inhaler device is dropped or shaken, or if you accidentally breathe into the device after the dose has been loaded, you will lose the dose. Load another dose. Do not use the inhaler if it has been damaged or if the mouthpiece has come off.Inhale this medication by mouth, usually once or twice daily or as directed by your doctor. Inhale deeply and forcefully while using the device. Do not exhale back into the device. Avoid getting the medication in your eyes.If more than one inhalation/puff is prescribed, wait at least one minute between inhalations. If you are using other inhalers at the same time, wait several minutes between the use of each medication, and use this drug (the corticosteroid) last.To prevent dry mouth, hoarseness, and oral yeast infections, gargle and rinse your mouth with water after each use. Do not swallow the rinse water.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. This medication works best if used consistently at even intervals. To help you remember, use it at the same time(s) each day. Do not increase your dose, use this more frequently, or stop using this medication without first consulting your doctor.Keep track of each dose of medication you use. Discard the device after it has delivered the labeled number of doses or when the red mark reaches the bottom of the dose indicator window. You may begin to feel this medication working within 24 hours, but it may take 2 weeks or longer before the full benefit of this drug takes effect. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Rosuvastatin is an enzyme blocker (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor), also known as a "statin." It is used along with a proper diet to help lower fats (triglycerides) and cholesterol in the blood. This drug is usually prescribed after non-drug treatment options have not been fully successful at lowering cholesterol (e.g., diet change, increase in exercise, weight loss if overweight). Reducing cholesterol and triglycerides help prevent strokes and heart attacks. How to use Rosuvastatin OralTake this medication by mouth usually once daily with or without food, or as directed by your doctor.Dosage is based on your medical condition, response to therapy, and use of certain interacting medicines. Many of the drugs (see Drug Interactions section) may increase the chance of muscle injury when used with this medication. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.Do not increase your dose or take this medication more frequently than prescribed because this may increase your risk of serious side effects. Your doctor should prescribe the lowest effective dose of this medication for you to minimize this risk.Patients of Asian descent may require lower starting doses because they may be more sensitive to the drug.Antacids can decrease the absorption of this drug when taken at the same time. If you are taking an antacid, take it at least 2 hours after rosuvastatin. If you also take certain other drugs to lower your cholesterol (bile acid-binding resins such as cholestyramine or colestipol), take rosuvastatin at least 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after these medications.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to take it at the same time each day. It may take 2 to 4 weeks before the full benefit of this drug takes effect. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high cholesterol or triglycerides do not feel sick.
Indomethacin is used to relieve moderate to severe pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by a breakdown of the lining of the joints), rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints), and ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis that mainly affects the spine). Indomethacin is also used to treat pain in the shoulder caused by bursitis (inflammation of a fluid-filled sac in the shoulder joint) and tendinitis (inflammation of the tissue that connects muscle to bone). Indomethacin immediate-release capsules, suspension (liquid) and suppositories are also used to treat acute gouty arthritis (attacks of severe joint pain and swelling caused by a build-up of certain substances in the joints). Indomethacin is in a class of medications called NSAIDs. It works by stopping the body's production of a substance that causes pain, fever, and inflammation.Indomethacin comes as a capsule, an extended-release (long-acting) capsule, and a suspension to take by mouth and as a suppository to be used rectally. Indomethacin capsules, liquid, and suppositories usually are taken two to four times a day. Extended-release capsules are usually taken one or two times a day. Indomethacin capsules, extended release capsules, and suspension should be taken with food, immediately after meals, or with antacids. Take indomethacin at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take indomethacin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Swallow the extended-release capsules whole; do not split, chew, or crush them. Fenofibrate is used for: Controlling high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It is used in combination with a diet low in cholesterol and saturated fat.Fenofibrate is a lipid-lowering agent. It lowers elevated blood triglyceride levels by making the liver produce fewer triglycerides and increasing the elimination of triglycerides from the blood streamFenofibrate helps reduce cholesterol and triclygerides (fatty acids) in the blood. High levels of these types of fat in the blood are associated with an increased risk of atherosclerosis (clogged arteries).Fenofibrate is used to treat high cholsterol and high triglyceride levels.Fenofibrate is used, along with a special diet, to treat people with very high levels of triglycerides (a fatty substance in the blood). Fenofibrate also improves cholesterol levels by lowering total cholesterol--including "bad" LDL cholesterol--and raising "good" HDL cholesterol. It works by promoting the dissolution and elimination of fat particles in the blood.Fenofibrate is usually added to a treatment regimen only when other measures have failed to produce adequate results. Often, diet and exercise are enough to bring blood fats under control. Likewise, it's sometimes sufficient to simply treat an underlying problem such as diabetes, underactive thyroid, kidney disease, liver dysfunction, or alcoholism. And in some cases, just discontinuing a medication is enough to do the job. For instance, certain water pills and "beta-blocker" heart medications are capable of causing a massive increase in triglyceride levels. Estrogen replacement therapy is another potential culprit.Whatever your other treatment measures may be, it's important to remember that Tricor is intended to supplement them, rather than replace them outright. To get the full benefit of the medication, you need to stick to the diet, exercise program, and other treatments your doctor prescribes. All these efforts to keep your cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal are important because together they may lower your risk of heart disease. If you're judged to be at high risk of heart disease, current guidelines call for considering drug therapy when LDL levels reach 130. For people at lower risk, the cut-off is 160. For those at little or no risk, it's 190. Cyclosporine ophthalmic is used to increase tear production in people with dry eye disease. Cyclosporine ophthalmic is in a class of medications called immunomodulators. It works by decreasing swelling in the eye to allow for tear production.Cyclosporine ophthalmic comes as an emulsion (liquid) to apply to the eye. It is usually applied to each eye twice a day, about 12 hours apart. To help you remember to use cyclosporine eyedrops, apply them around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use cyclosporine eyedrops exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of them or use them more often than prescribed by your doctor.Cyclosporine eyedrops are for use only in the eye(s). Do not swallow or apply cyclosporine eyedrops to the skin.Cyclosporine eyedrops come in single-use vials (small bottles to be used for one dose). The liquid from one vial should be used immediately after opening for one or both eyes.To apply the eyedrops, follow these steps: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Turn over the vial a few times until the liquid inside looks white and not see-through. Open the vial. Use a mirror or have someone else put the drops in your eye. Avoid touching the dropper against your eye or anything else. Hold the dropper tip down at all times to prevent drops from flowing back into the bottle and contaminating the remaining contents. Lie down or tilt your head back. Holding the bottle between your thumb and index finger, place the dropper as near as possible to your eyelid without touching it. Brace the remaining fingers of that hand against your cheek or nose. With the index finger of your other hand, pull the lower lid of the eye down to form a pocket. Drop the prescribed number of drops into the pocket made by the lower lid and the eye. Placing the drops on the surface of the eyeball can cause stinging. Close your eye and press lightly against the lower lid with your finger for 2-3 minutes to keep the medication in the eye. Do not blink. If you are using the eyedrops for both eyes, repeat steps 7-11 for the other eye. Wipe off any excess liquid from your cheek with a clean tissue. Throw away the vial out of the reach of children even if it is not empty. Wash your hands again. Voltaren is used for: Treating pain, redness, swelling, and sensitivity to light, which are symptoms related to certain eye surgeries. Diclofenac is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Diclofenac works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Diclofenac is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (also called NSAIDs) are used to relieve some symptoms caused by arthritis (rheumatism), such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain. Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Pain, especially due to inflammation (eg period pain)Local pain and inflammation in soft tissues.
Ranitidine is used to treat ulcers; gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and injury of the food pipe (esophagus); and conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Over-the-counter ranitidine is used to prevent and treat symptoms of heartburn associated with acid indigestion and sour stomach. Ranitidine is in a class of medications called H2 blockers. It decreases the amount of acid made in the stomach.Ranitidine comes as a tablet, an effervescent tablet, effervescent granules, and a syrup to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day at bedtime or two to four times a day. Over-the-counter ranitidine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once or twice a day. To prevent symptoms, it is taken 30-60 minutes before eating or drinking foods that cause heartburn. Follow the directions on your prescription or the package label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take ranitidine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Dissolve ranitidine effervescent tablets and granules in a full glass (6-8 ounces) of water before drinking.Do not take over-the-counter ranitidine for longer than 2 weeks unless your doctor tells you to.
