This medication relaxes muscles. It is used along with rest and physical therapy to decrease muscle pain and spasms associated with strains, sprains or other muscle injuries. How to use Metaxalone OralTake this medication by mouth usually 3 or 4 times a day, or as directed by your doctor. It may be taken with food or immediately after meals to prevent stomach upset. If you take this medication after a high-fat meal and experience side effects, it may be best to take this drug on an empty stomach or after a light meal.Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed because the risk of side effects may increase. This medication is intended for short-term use, usually no longer than 3 weeks, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. If your condition does not improve in 2-3 weeks, contact your doctor.Metaxalone Oral is used to treat the following:Muscle Spasm Piroxicam is used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by a breakdown of the lining of the joints) and rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints). Piroxicam is in a class of medications called NSAIDs. It works by stopping the body's production of a substance that causes pain, fever, and inflammation.
Tadalafil relaxes muscles and increases blood flow to particular areas of the body. Tadalafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence). It works by dilating blood vessels in the penis, allowing the inflow of blood needed for an erection. Erectile dysfunction is a condition where the penis does not harden and expand when a man is sexually excited, or when he cannot keep an erection. When a man is sexually stimulated, his body's normal response is to increase blood flow to his penis. This results in an erection. Tadalafil helps increase blood flow to the penis and may help men with erectile dysfunction get and keep an erection satisfactory for sexual activity. Once a man has completed sexual activity, blood flow to his penis decreases, and his erection goes away.
Trifluoperazine is used to treat schizophrenia and symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and hostility. It is also used short-term to treat anxiety in some patients.Trifluoperazine comes as a tablet and liquid concentrate to take by mouth. It usually is taken one or two times a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take trifluoperazine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. The liquid concentrate must be diluted before use. It comes with a specially marked dropper for measuring the dose. Ask your pharmacist to show you how to use the dropper if you have difficulty. To dilute the liquid concentrate, add it to at least 2 ounces of milk, water, soft drink, coffee, tea, tomato or fruit juice, soup, or pudding just before you take it. If any beverage, soup, or pudding gets on the dropper, rinse the dropper with tap water before replacing it in the bottle. Do not allow the liquid concentrate to touch your skin or clothing; it can irritate your skin. If you spill the liquid concentrate on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.Continue to take trifluoperazine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking trifluoperazine without talking to your doctor, especially if you have taken large doses for a long time. Your doctor probably will decrease your dose gradually. This drug must be taken regularly for a few weeks before its full effect is felt.
Ketoconazole is used to treat fungal infections. Ketoconazole is most often used to treat fungal infections that can spread to different parts of the body through the bloodstream such as yeast infections of the mouth, skin, urinary tract, and blood, and certain fungal infections that begin on the skin or in the lungs and can spread through the body. Ketoconazole is also used to treat fungal infections of the skin or nails that cannot be treated with other medications. Ketoconazole is in a class of antifungals called imidazoles. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection. Ketoconazole comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. To help you remember to take ketoconazole, take it at around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take ketoconazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. If you have certain medical conditions, your doctor will tell you to take ketoconazole tablets dissolved in an acid solution. Your doctor will tell you exactly how to do this. Follow these directions carefully.Your doctor will probably start you on an average dose of ketoconazole. Your doctor may increase your dose if your infection is very serious or your condition does not improve. You may need to take ketoconazole for several weeks or months to cure your infection completely. Your doctor will probably order laboratory tests to be sure your infection has been treated. Continue to take ketoconazole until your doctor tells you that you should stop, even if you feel better. Do not stop taking ketoconazole without talking to your doctor. If you stop taking ketoconazole too soon, your infection may come back after a short time. Ketoconazole is also sometimes used to treat vaginal yeast infections, tinea versicolor (spots on skin caused by yeast), eumycetoma (a severe fungal skin infection that often affects the foot), leishmaniasis (a disease caused by the bite of an infected sand fly), prostate cancer (cancer that begins in a male reproductive organ), high blood levels of calcium in patients with certain conditions, Cushing's syndrome (high blood levels of a natural substance called cortisol), and excessive hair growth in women. Theophylline belongs to a class of drugs known as xanthines. It works in the airways by relaxing muscles, opening air passages to improve breathing, and decreasing the lungs' response to irritants. Controlling symptoms of breathing problems can decrease time lost from work or school. This medication does not work immediately and should not be used for sudden attacks of breathing trouble. Your doctor should prescribe a quick-relief medicine/inhaler (e.g., albuterol) for sudden attacks of shortness of breath/asthma while you are on this medication. You should always have a quick-relief inhaler with you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. How to use Theophylline OralTake this medication by mouth with or without food, usually once or twice daily or as directed by your doctor. SINEMET is indicated in the treatment of the symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson's disease (paralysis agitans), post-encephalitic parkinsonism, and symptomatic parkinsonism which may follow injury to the nervous system by carbon monoxide intoxication and/or manganese intoxication. SINEMET is indicated in these conditions to permit the administration of lower doses of levodopa with reduced nausea and vomiting, with more rapid dosage titration, with a somewhat smoother response, and with supplemental pyridoxine (vitamin B6).In some patients a somewhat smoother antiparkinsonian effect results from therapy with SINEMET than with levodopa
Beclazone is used to help prevent asthma. Beclazone contains a medicine called beclometasone dipropionate, which belongs to a family of medicines called corticosteroids. Inhaled corticosteroids are not the same as anabolic steroids which some athletes and body-builder use. Your Beclazone Inhaler delivers very small amounts of inhaled corticosteroid straight to your lungs, where it works by reducing inflammation (swelling and irritation) in the small airways. This helps you to breathe easier and helps to prevent asthma attacks. This kind of medicine is known as a 'Preventer'. It must be used everyday as directed by your doctor even if you have no asthma symptoms.Beclazone may take a few days to start to work. Do not stop using your inhaler unless a doctor tells you to. Beclazone does not give immediate relief from an asthma attack. Do not use Beclazone to relieve wheezing or breathlessness - you may have been given a different kind of inhaler medicine, called a 'Reliever', for that. Your doctor may have told you to use a Reliever inhaler in addition to your Beclazone Inhaler. There is no evidence that Beclazone Inhaler is addictive. How to use Beclomethasone Dipropionate InhlFirst read the manufacturers instruction leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using beclomethasone and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. This medication is inhaled into the lungs using a special inhaler device. Using this inhaler device with a spacer makes it easier to inhale the medication. To use the inhaler, shake the canister for about 10 seconds. Take a drink of water to moisten the throat. Place the inhaler or spacer mouthpiece into your mouth over the tongue. Close your lips tightly around the mouthpiece. Press the inhaler while taking a slow deep breath through your mouth for 5 seconds. Hold your breath for 10 seconds while keeping the inhaler in your mouth so that the drug can be absorbed into the lungs. Remove the inhaler device from your mouth and slowly breathe out.Use this medication twice daily or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. If 2 or more inhalations/puffs for each dose are prescribed, wait at least 1 minute between them.If you are using other inhalers at the same time, use them first. Wait several minutes between the use of those inhalers and beclomethasone. To prevent dry mouth, hoarseness, and fungal infection of the mouth, rinse your mouth with water after each use. Do not swallow the rinse water.Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Follow the dosing schedule carefully. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If you have been taking high doses of this medication for a long time, do not suddenly stop taking it without your doctor's approval. Some conditions may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased to reduce symptoms such as extreme tiredness, weakness, weight loss, or nausea. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these symptoms occur after stopping the medication. Memantine is used to treat moderate to severe confusion (dementia) related to Alzheimer's disease. Rosuvastatin is used for: Lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels and increasing "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein [HDL]) levels in patients who have also adopted lifestyle changes (eg, diet and exercise). Rosuvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medication that blocks the production of cholesterol (a type of fat) in the body. It works by reducing levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL).Rosuvastatin is used to treat high cholesterol. Imipramine is in a class of medications called tricyclic antidepressants. It treats depression by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances in the brain that are needed to maintain mental balance. There is not enough information to explain how imipramine prevents bedwetting.Imipramine comes as a tablet and a capsule to take by mouth. When imipramine tablets or capsules are used to treat depression, they are usually taken one or more times a day and may be taken with or without food.
