Oxytetracycline is a type of antibiotic called a tetracycline. It is used to treat infections with bacteria.Oxytetracycline works by interfering with the ability of bacteria to produce proteins that are essential to them. Without these proteins the bacteria cannot grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Oxytetracycline therefore stops the spread of the infection and the remaining bacteria are killed by the immune system or eventually die. Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is active against a wide variety of bacteria. However, some strains of bacteria have developed resistance to this antibiotic, which has reduced its effectiveness for treating some types of infection. Oxytetracycline is still used to treat infections caused by chlamydia (eg the chest infection psittacosis, the eye infection trachoma, and the genital infection urethritis) and infections caused by mycoplasma organisms (eg pneumonia). Oxytetracycline is used to treat acne, due to its activity against the bacteria on the skin that cause acne (Propionebacterium acnes). It is used to treat flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, due to its activity against the bacteria usually responsible, Haemophilus influenzae. Oxytetracycline may also used to treat other rarer infections, such as those caused by a group of micro-organisms called rickettsiae (eg Q fever). To make sure the bacteria causing an infection are susceptible to oxytetracycline your doctor may take a tissue sample, for example a swab from the infected area, or a urine or blood sample. What is it used for? Acne vulgaris.Chronic inflammatory disorder of the facial skin (acne rosacea).Flare-ups of chronic bronchitis.Dental infections.Infections caused by chlamydia (eg the chest infection psittacosis, the eye infection trachoma, and sexually-transmitted chlamydia).Infections caused by Rickettsiae micro-organisms transmitted by lice, fleas, ticks and mites (eg Q fever).Disease caused by infection with Leptospira bacteria (Weil's Disease/leptospirosis).Lyme disease.Infections caused by mycoplasma organisms (eg pneumonia or genital infections).

Flomex ( Flarex, Generic Fluoromethalone )

This medication is used to treat eye conditions (e.g., conjunctivitis). It belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. Fluorometholone works by relieving swelling and itching.How to use Fluorometholone OphtTo apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them before using eye drops. Wait at least 15 minutes before replacing your contact lenses.Shake this medicine well before using. Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper directly over your eye and place 1 drop into the pouch. Look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of your eye (near the nose) and apply gentle pressure. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink and do not rub your eye. Repeat these steps for your other eye if so directed or if your dose is for more than 1 drop.Do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after each use.If you are using another kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments to allow the drops to enter the eye.Use as often as directed by your doctor, usually 2 to 4 times a day. However, your doctor may direct you to use the drops more often for the first 48 hours of treatment. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day.Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Do not stop using this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens after 48 hours.Fluorometholone Opht is used to treat the following:Infection of the Cornea of the Eye due to Herpes Zoster, Inflammation of the Iris - the Colored Part of the Eyeball, Inflammation of the Uvea of the Eye, Inflammation of the Iris and Ciliary Body of the Eye, Inflammation of the Ciliary Body of the Eye, Ulcer of the Cornea of the Eye, Dotted Lesions or Damage on Cornea of Eye, Allergic Conjunctivitis, Inflammation of the Eye, Inflammation of the Eye Following Surgery, Severe Inflammation of the Cornea with Rosacea Involvement, Scratch Wound on Cornea

Pramipexole is used alone or with other medications to treat Parkinson's disease. It can improve your ability to move and decrease shakiness (tremor), stiffness, slowed movement, and unsteadiness. It may also decrease the number of episodes of not being able to move ("on-off syndrome").This medication is also used to treat a certain medical condition (restless legs syndrome - RLS) that causes an unusual urge to move the legs. Symptoms usually occur at night along with uncomfortable/unpleasant feelings in the legs. This medication can decrease these symptoms and thereby improve sleep.Pramipexole is a dopamine agonist that works by helping to restore the balance of a certain natural substance (dopamine) in the brain.How to use Pramipexole OralRead the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start taking pramipexole and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Take this medication by mouth with or without food, as directed by your doctor. Taking this medication with food may reduce nausea. To decrease the risk of side effects (e.g., drowsiness, low blood pressure) when you first start taking pramipexole, your doctor will slowly increase your dosage until the best dose for you is reached. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.If you stop taking this medication for several days, you may need to increase your dose slowly back to your previous dosage. Talk with your doctor about how to restart the medication. Do not stop taking this medication without your doctor's approval. Although very unlikely, if you suddenly stop taking this drug, withdrawal reactions may occur. Such reactions can include fever, muscle stiffness, and confusion. Report any such reactions to your doctor immediately. If you have Parkinson's disease and are stopping regular treatment with this drug, gradually reducing the dosage as directed will help prevent withdrawal reactions. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.It may take a few weeks for full effects of this medication to be noticed. Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen.

Daivonex ( Generic Calcipotriol )

DAIVONEX is an anti-psoriasis medicine. DAIVONEX contains calcipotriol (related to Vitamin D). DAIVONEX does not contain steroids.DAIVONEX is used only on skin affected by psoriasis. Psoriasis is a skin disorder in which skin cells are overactive. The calcipotriol in DAIVONEX treats the overactive skin cells.DAIVONEX is used in the commonest type of psoriasis, where "plaques" form in the skin. Plaques are raised, rough, reddened areas covered with fine, dry silvery scales. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, and other viral infections.Amoxicillin comes as a capsule, a tablet, a chewable tablet, a suspension (liquid), and pediatric drops to take by mouth. It is usually taken every 12 hours (twice a day) or every 8 hours (three times a day) with or without food. To help you remember to take amoxicillin, take it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take amoxicillin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Shake the liquid and pediatric drops well before each use to mix the medication evenly.
