Reducing the risk of stroke or heart attack in patients who have already had a heart attack or stroke, or have other circulatory problems due to narrowing and hardening of the arteries. It also may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.Clopidogrel is a platelet aggregation inhibitor. It works by slowing or stopping platelets from sticking to blood vessel walls or injured tissues.Clopidogrel keeps the platelets in your blood from coagulating (clotting) to prevent unwanted blood clots that can occur with certain heart or blood vessel conditions.Clopidogrel is used to prevent blood clots after a recent heart attack or stroke, and in people with certain disorders of the heart or blood vessels.Clopidogrel keeps blood platelets slippery and discourages formation of clots, thereby improving blood flow to your heart, brain, and body. The drug is prescribed to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and serious circulation problems in people with hardening of the arteries or unstable angina (dangerous chest pain), and in people who've already suffered a heart attack or stroke. Telmisartan is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Telmisartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels, so blood flows more smoothly.Telmisartan is also used sometimes to treat congestive heart failure.
This medication is used to treat anemia in patients with a certain blood/bone marrow disorders (myelodysplastic syndrome-MDS, multiple myeloma). These patients do not have enough properly working red blood cells. They often require blood transfusions to reverse their anemia. Lenalidomide may decrease the need for treatment with blood transfusions.Lenalidomide is a type of drug known as an immunomodulator. It is believed to work by decreasing the immune system's response, thereby lowering the number of working red blood cells that are destroyed naturally by the bodyHow to use Lenalidomide OralThis medication must be used only within the RevAssist guidelines in order to avoid any possible exposure of an unborn baby to the drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist.Read the Medication Guide and the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using lenalidomide and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Before starting therapy, women of childbearing age should have two negative pregnancy tests before taking the drug. (See Warning section.)Take this medication by mouth with a full glass of water, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. Swallow this medication whole. Do not break, chew, or open the capsules. Dosage is based on your medical condition, response to therapy, and laboratory test results. Be sure to follow your doctor's directions carefully.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to take it at the same time each day.Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.Lenalidomide Oral is used to treat the following:Multiple Myeloma, Bone Marrow Disorders Occurring Before Leukemia BETA CREAM or OINTMENT contains the active ingredient betamethasone valerate. It belongs to a group of medicines known as topical corticosteroids. "Topical" means that they are applied onto the skin. Topical steroids are used to help reduce inflammation in the affected area which helps to reduce redness and itchiness caused by the skin disease. BETA CREAM or OINTMENT is useful in treating various inflamed conditions of the skin such as:psoriasis severe forms of eczema lichen planus (chronic itchy skin of unknown origin) discoid lupus erythematosus (recurring scaly rash) when milder topical steroids cannot treat the skin condition effectively. BETA CREAM is used to treat skin conditions on moist surfaces; BETA OINTMENT is used to treat skin conditions on dry, scaly skin.Your doctor, however, may prescribe BETA CREAM or OINTMENT for another purpose. Ask your doctor if you have any questions about why BETA CREAM or OINTMENT has been prescribed for you.There is no evidence that BETA CREAM or OINTMENT is addictive. Acyclovir cream is used to treat cold sores (fever blisters; blisters that are caused by a virus called herpes simplex) on the face or lips. Acyclovir ointment is used to treat first outbreaks of genital herpes (a herpes virus infection that causes sores to form around the genitals and rectum from time to time) and to treat certain types of sores caused by the herpes simplex virus in people with weak immune systems. Acyclovir is in a class of antiviral medications called synthetic nucleoside analogues. It works by stopping the spread of the herpes virus in the body. Acyclovir does not cure cold sores or genital herpes, does not prevent outbreaks of these conditions, and does not stop the spread of these conditions to other people.How should this medicine be used? Topical acyclovir comes as a cream and an ointment to apply to the skin. Acyclovir cream is usually applied five times a day for 4 days. Acyclovir cream may be applied at any time during a cold sore outbreak, but it works best when it is applied at the very beginning of a cold sore outbreak, when there is tingling, redness, itching, or a bump but the cold sore has not yet formed. Acyclovir ointment is usually applied six times a day (usually 3 hours apart) for 7 days. It is best to begin using acyclovir ointment as soon as possible after you experience the first symptoms of infection. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use topical acyclovir exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Your symptoms should improve during your treatment with topical acyclovir. If your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse, call your doctor.Acyclovir cream and ointment are for use only on the skin. Do not let acyclovir cream or ointment get into your eyes, or inside your mouth or nose, and do not swallow the medication.Acyclovir cream should only be applied to skin where a cold sore has formed or seems likely to form. Do not apply acyclovir cream to any unaffected skin, or to genital herpes sores.Do not apply other skin medications or other types of skin products such as cosmetics, sun screen, or lip balm to the cold sore area while using acyclovir cream unless your doctor tells you that you should.
Ibandronate is used to prevent and treat certain types of bone loss (osteoporosis). Osteoporosis causes bones to become thinner and break more easily. Your chance of developing osteoporosis increases after menopause, as you age, or if you take corticosteroid medications (e.g., prednisone) for long periods.This medication works by slowing bone loss to help maintain strong bones and reduce the risk of broken bones (fractures). Ibandronate belongs to a class of medications called bisphosphonates.How to use Ibandronate OralRead the Patient Information Leaflet before starting this medication and each time you get a refill because new information may be available. Follow the instructions very closely to maximize the amount of drug absorbed and reduce the risk of injury to your esophagus. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.Take this medication by mouth usually once a day, or as directed by your doctor. Take this medication after getting up for the day, before taking your first food, beverage or other medication. Do not take it at bedtime or while you are still in bed.Take this medication with a full glass (6-8 ounces or 180-240 milliliters) of plain water. Do not take it with any other beverages. Do not chew or suck the tablet or keep it in your mouth to melt. Swallow the tablet whole. Then stay fully upright (sitting, standing or walking) for at least 60 minutes and do not lie down until after your first food of the day. Wait at least 60 minutes after taking ibandronate before you eat or drink anything other than plain water and before taking any other medication by mouth.Medications such as quinapril, certain forms of didanosine (chewable/dispersible buffered tablets or pediatric oral solution), sucralfate, and bismuth subsalicylate may interfere with the absorption of ibandronate. Calcium or iron supplements, vitamins with minerals, and antacids containing calcium, magnesium or aluminum, as well as foods such as dairy products (e.g., milk, yogurt), mineral water, and calcium-enriched juice, may also interfere with absorption. Do not take these products for at least 60 minutes after taking ibandronate.Take this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Betamethasone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This medication is a medium-strength corticosteroid.How to use Betamethasone Valerate TopUse this medication on the skin only. However, do not use it on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed to do so by your doctor.Wash and dry your hands before using. Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 1-3 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. If used in the diaper area on an infant, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants.After applying the medication, wash your hands unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. When applying this medication near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes because this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting this medication in the nose or mouth. If you get the medication in these areas, rinse with plenty of water.Use this medication only for the condition for which it was prescribed. Do not use it for longer than prescribed.Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens after 2 weeks. Miglitol is used along with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). Effectively controlling high blood sugar helps prevent heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, blindness, and circulation problems, as well as sexual function problems (impotence). Miglitol works by slowing the absorption of carbohydrates from your diet, so that your blood sugar does not rise as much after a meal.How to use Miglitol OralTake this medication by mouth, usually 3 times daily with the first bite of a meal, or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same times each day.Glyset Oral is used to treat the following:Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus This medication is used to treat certain types of growths on the skin. These include precancerous growths (actinic keratoses), a certain type of skin cancer (superficial basal cell carcinoma), and warts on the outside of the genitals/anus. Treating these conditions can decrease complications from them. Imiquimod belongs to a group of drugs called immune response modifiers. It is believed to work by helping to activate your immune system to fight these abnormal skin growths.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional.This drug may also be used to treat a skin infection called Molluscum contagiosum.How to use Aldara TopFirst read the manufacturer's patient information leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using imiquimod cream and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Apply this medication to the affected area once a day, usually 2-5 times weekly for 6-16 weeks or as directed by your doctor. The dosage and length of treatment are based on your specific skin problem and response to therapy.Do not apply this medication into the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. If you get this medication in those areas, flush with plenty of water. If irritation occurs, contact your doctor immediately.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use a calendar to mark the days you will be applying the medication each week. Before applying the medication, wash the area to be treated with soap and water, and dry thoroughly. Use a new packet of cream for each use. Apply as directed by your doctor just before going to bed. Wash your hands with soap and water after each application. Do not cover the treated area with bandages or other waterproof dressings. Covering the area with cotton gauze or cotton underwear for the genital area is permitted. Leave the cream on overnight, usually for about 8 hours or as directed. In the morning, wash the treated area with soap and water to remove the cream. Do not bathe or wet the treated area before the prescribed time has passed. Do not leave imiquimod cream on longer than prescribed by your doctor. Throw away any partly used packets of medication.Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens or if new growths appear during treatment.Aldara Top is used to treat the following:External Genital Warts, Superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma of the Skin, Roughened Red Patches of Skin due to Sun ExposureAldara Top may also be used to treat: Vulvar Intraepithelial Neoplasia Rivastigmine is used to treat dementia (a brain disorder that affects the ability to remember, think clearly, communicate, and perform daily activities and may cause changes in mood and personality) in people with Alzheimer's disease (a brain disease that slowly destroys the memory and ability to think, learn, communicate and handle daily activities). Rivastigmine is also used to treat dementia in people with Parkinson's disease (a brain and nervous system disease with symptoms of slowing of movement, muscle weakness, shuffling walk, and loss of memory). Rivastigmine is in a class of medications called cholinesterase inhibitors. It improves mental function (such as memory and thinking) by increasing the amount of a certain natural substance in the brain.Rivastigmine comes as a capsule and solution (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken twice a day with meals in the morning and evening. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take rivastigmine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Your doctor will start you on a low dose of rivastigmine and slowly increase your dose, not more than once every 2 weeks.Rivastigmine may improve the ability to think and remember or slow the loss of these abilities, but does not cure Alzheimer's disease or dementia in people with Parkinson's disease. Continue to take rivastigmine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking rivastigmine without talking to your doctor.Rivastigmine oral solution may be swallowed directly from the syringe or mixed with a liquid before use. Mix it with a small glass of water, cold fruit juice, or soda. Be sure to stir the mixture completely. Do not mix this medication with any liquid other than the ones listed. If the medication is mixed with water, juice, or soda, it must be taken within 4 hours.Rivastigmine is also used sometimes to treat Lewy body dementia (a condition in which the brain develops abnormal protein structures, and the brain and nervous system are destroyed over time).
